The historicisation of Astronism is the process by which Astronism became connected to pre-Astronist historical roots which served to further legitimise Astronism and to provide its followers with a distinct identity. This was started by which its founder, Cometan, when he articulated the history of the Astronic tradition and how this then related to his works on Astronism itself.
